<p>A given platform may provide multiple different ABIs at once.  For
instance, the x86 platform has both &lsquo;<samp class="samp">stdcall</samp>&rsquo; and &lsquo;<samp class="samp">fastcall</samp>&rsquo;
functions.
</p>
<p><code class="code">libffi</code> provides some support for this.  However, this is
necessarily platform-specific.
</p>
